- The Rix Water and Oil Tank is designed to represent riveted steel tanks which the railroads started building back in 1880 during the steam era.
- Today tanks similar to these are being used to hold oil and chemicals.
- The Rix Water and Oil Tank is made up of 6 band segments which form a complete band.
- The bands are then stacked one on top of another until they reach the given height.
- Kit include enough band segment to produce a 29 foot tall by 24 foot diameter tank with peaked top.
- Tank is molded in a black polystyrene.
